This Privacy Policy explains how Aste ("App") handles information when you use the App. Our product is designed with a local-first model, meaning your memory content is primarily stored on your device.
1. Information We Process
Depending on your usage, the App may process the following categories of information:
- Photos you capture or import for memories.
- Captions and related memory details you create.
- Memory metadata generated in-app (for example creation time, view stats, and rebuild counters).
- Local app settings and virtual coin balance records.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from your interactions with the App. You choose when to add photos, create captions, or use optional premium actions. The App does not require account registration to use core features.
3. Permissions
The App may request device permissions, including:
- Camera access: to capture new photos when you choose to do so.
- Photo library access: to import photos when you choose to do so.
- Tracking permission (ATT): requested according to your platform and app flow.
You can control these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Denying permissions may limit specific features.
4. Storage and Retention
Memory content and related records are stored locally on your device storage and app sandbox. We do not operate a dedicated account-based cloud storage service for your memory content. Data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the App, or reset your device.
5. In-App Purchases
Optional purchases are processed by Apple In-App Purchase. We do not receive your full payment card details. Product availability, pricing, billing, and refunds are managed under Apple policies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run a separate fulfillment server for coin balances or memory storage. Information may be shared only when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
7. Children
The App is not intentionally directed to children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal information in violation of law, please contact us so we can review and address the request.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to support secure operation of the App. However, no software or device environment is completely secure, and you are responsible for securing access to your own device.
9. Your Choices
You may control your data by:
- Deleting memories and media from within the App.
- Adjusting permissions in iOS Settings.
- Uninstalling the App to remove local app data from your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will apply from the posted effective date.
